Oil Cooler Check/Replacement

Next time you or mechanic change your oil, have a look at your oil cooler to ensure it is in good working order. On this Volvo, it is conveniently near the drain plug.
There is a distinct possibility one may have engine failure if their oil cooler fails. Typically, this occurs when the failed unit forces all the coolant out of the engine which leads to an overheated engine.
One can check for leaks on the ground as a preventative measure.
